TOPIC: The Public/Private Dichotomy in M&A transactions

SPEAKER: Clint Harding | Partner | ABL Lawyers

Clint is a partner at Arnold Bloch Leibler and leads the Sydney taxation practice. Clint advises across most taxes, with particular expertise in corporate and international tax, the taxation of financial instruments and transactions, and the management of tax audits and disputes with the ATO. Clint is the author of numerous tax articles, a regular presenter, and is currently the Chair of The Tax Institute’s Large Business and International Committee. He is the former National Chair of the Law Council of Australia’s Taxation Committee and was a member of the National Tax Liaison Group for 6 years. In 2018, Clint won The Tax Institute’s Corporate Tax Adviser of the Year Award. Clint has been recognised by Best Lawyers® International, Chambers Asia Pacific and the Legal 500 Asia Pacific in the area of tax law. Last year, Clint was recognised in the Doyle’s Guide as a ‘preeminent’ leading tax lawyer for NSW.

SPEAKER: Danielle Ou | Lawyer | ABL Lawyers

Danielle is a lawyer at Arnold Bloch Leibler in the Sydney taxation practice. She has worked in tax across both the New Zealand and Australian markets for a wide range of domestic and multinational companies. Danielle’s particular experience includes international tax and advising on cross-border transactions, alongside advising on global transfer pricing models.

The session will begin with a 15 minutes technology update from GoCardless.

Continuing Professional Development Point (CPD Point)

  • This event will account for up to a maximum of one (1) CPD Point per session.
  • A completion certificate will be issued via LMS after the event for attendances who check in with our staff and you have attended the session for more than thirty-five (35) minutes. We are unable to issue a certificate unless we have a record of your attendance.
  • Attendance records will be provided to CPA Australia, however, it is up to you to update your own CPD records/CPD Diary. We cannot update the same for you.
  • You may wish to update your profile with us to include your CPA Membership number which we will report to CPA Australia accordingly.
  • You should only claim for the attended hours only.
